What happens to what you type into a calculator?

Nothing leaves your device. Every calculator on this site is compiled into the page and runs entirely in your browser. The fish length you enter, your date of birth on the license finder, the coordinates on the best fishing time tool — none of it is transmitted anywhere, stored anywhere, or logged anywhere. There is no server to send it to; the site is static files.

You can verify this. Open your browser's network panel, use any calculator, and watch for a request. The only outbound requests a page makes are the live water gauge refresh on thePool 8 water gauge page andPool 9 water gauge page, which calls the United States Geological Survey and Open-Meteo public APIs with a station number and a coordinate hard-coded into the page, and the advertising requests described below.

What does the site collect?

We operate no analytics of our own and no first-party cookies. The site is served as static files from Cloudflare Pages, and Cloudflare records standard request information — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — in the ordinary course of serving and protecting the site. That data is held by Cloudflare under its own terms and we do not build profiles from it.

We do not currently run Google Analytics or any comparable analytics product. If that changes, this page is updated in the same deployment that switches it on, because the section above is generated from the site's own configuration rather than written from memory.

How does the advertising work?

This site carries advertising served by Google AdSense under publisher identifier pub-8351396994491171. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar device identifiers to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. We do not receive your personal data from Google, and we cannot see who you are from an ad impression.

You can control personalised advertising in Google My Ad Center, and Google explains what it collects when you use a partner site in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Opting out of personalisation does not remove the ads; it changes how they are chosen.

Before any advertising cookie is set, a bottom consent bar asks you to Accept or Reject. Until you Accept, the AdSense library is not loaded and no ad cookies are written by this site. If you Reject, pages stay free of ads for that browser. Your choice is stored in local storage under the keybrf-ad-consent so the bar does not reappear on every page.

Even after you Accept, the advertising library is not fetched until an ad slot comes close to your viewport. A page you open and read only at the top may never request it. Calculator pages do not carry ad units until a real AdSense unit id is configured for them.

Which third parties are involved at all?

• Cloudflare, which hosts and delivers the site and keeps standard server logs.
• Google AdSense, which serves the advertising described above.
• United States Geological Survey and Open-Meteo, called directly from your browser on the pool guide pages to refresh the river conditions panel. Those requests carry your IP address to those services as any web request does.

There is nothing else. No tag manager, no heat mapping, no session recording, no chat widget, no social embeds, no web fonts loaded from a third party.

What rights do you have, and against whom?

We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete. Requests about advertising data should go to Google, and requests about server logs to Cloudflare, since those are the parties that hold them. If you are unsure, write to us through the contact page and we will tell you which of the two applies.

How will you know if this changes?

The date at the bottom of this page changes and the section describing the change is rewritten. Because the advertising and analytics sections are generated from the site's configuration, switching either on or off updates this page in the same deployment. It cannot silently drift out of date.
